Catapulted Into Fall

Happy New Year

Fall has so many new beginnings that it really is the unofficial New Year for many.   If you’ve been catapulted into fall activities, you know exactly what I mean.   Around Rye, warm days have already given way to the invigorating cool, crisp breezes, kids are back to school and people are getting back to business.
Once the transitions at school and work take hold, but before we have pumpkins on our porches, it’s a good time to embrace some of the many wonderful events and activities around the sound shore.
Traditions, sometimes longstanding and sometimes instant hits, are all part of the mix.  There’s something for everyone, from cheering-on high school teams to huddling at the sidelines as our youngest take to the field in rec leagues, to family hikes through the many area parks, sanctuaries and trails, to annual fall festivals.    Maybe it’s an apple picking outing that signals a new season.  What are the moments that mean a new year for you?
